EPY: Bad DEPTID For An Employee Processed Appears on HPCA010 (Doc ID 2506709.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 14, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is a bad DEPTID for an employee processed through past the pay confirm process.

We have an employee whose DEPTID was erroneous at the start of the payroll process, but was changed halfway through to the correct one. However, as a result, the DEPTID in several pay related tables is incorrect for the employee.

When running the Predistribution Audit Report (HPCA010), we get the following error in the PDF:

ERROR
-----------------------
REG N 7 1 Department Budget Date record is not defined for Budget Department:20300

That 20300 is the "bad" department that exists in some of the pay tables. The correct department is 50130.

There are three tables containing the bad DEPTID which are PS_PAY_LINE, PS_PAY_CHECK, and PS_PAY_EARNINGS.
