Pell Origination Records are Incorrect When ISIR Owning School Code Changes Within an Aid Year
(Doc ID 2510833.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
For colleges or universities that use multiple school codes set up under a single institution: when running Pell Origination, the program does not adjust records originated under a school code that is no longer the current school code on the ISIR. In these cases, the program creates a new origination record for the most recent school code, for the entire amount of Pell awarded for the aid year. As a result, when the new record is reported to COD, the student will be over-reported unless the user manually updates the original record within the COD database.
Users need to have a way to originate and transmit changes to the records under the original school code
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Load ISIR
- Award Pell
- Originate Pell
- Load ISIR Under new school code
- Award Pell
- Originate Pell
