INAS Non-custodial Parent Contribution (NCP) Not Adding to Extension 5 After PUM 12 and Bundle 52 (Doc ID 2517293.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM Image 12 or Campus Solutions 9.0 Bundle 52

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When calculating the IM EFC involving contribution from non-custodial parent, the calculation results are not correct. When invoking NCP INAS, the NCP EFC on extension 5 is not populated, and so with the next step of calculating "regular" INAS, the NCP is not added into the rest of the EFC.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
IM EFC needs to calculate with the NCP added in with the custodial PC plus the SC

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Load Custodial and Non Custodial Profile application for a student
2. Call NCP INAS
3. Review IM Extensions link, Extension 5
4. Call IM INAS
5. Verify calculated EFC

WHAT IS WORKING
--------------------------
The issue may not occur in every case, only some. See notes in "Cause" section below.

Changes

Changes to the INAS NCP interface programs FAPINCP9.cbl and FAPINCP0.cbl were delivered in PUM 12 and Bundle 52.
