Error in document delete process (262,2031) PTSF_ES.ESIMPL.IngestService.OnExecute Name:deleteIndex

Tools: 8.56.10
App: FMS 9.2.028
DB: MS SQL Server 2016

During the past month, our Financials item catalog build has abended with the following error:

Error in document delete process (262,2031) PTSF_ES.ESIMPL.IngestService.OnExecute Name:deleteIndexData PCPC:115608 Statement:1624

all that is in the log is this:

If I undeploy the search definition and redeploy, then reschedule, it works.  The scheduler is on windows.
