Slow Query Performance after upgrading to SQL Server 2012 from 2008 ms sql.


ENV:
====
9.1 Apps
8.53 Tools.Database upgrade performed to MS SQL 2012 db release.


ISSUE:
======
Slow Query Performance after upgrading database.  Serious issues running queries within PSHR.


IMPACT:
=======
Some report ran much faster then before on 2008 and need this resolved asap.


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
==================
Slower overall system performamce.
Query run times went from minutes to hours and there are times the queries don't run at all or have to be killed because they are causing blocking sessions

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
====================
With the higher server release to have better performance then the ms sql 2008.
