Last updated on JULY 27, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.54 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why are the orphan rows being generated in the MESSAGE_LOG And MESSAGE_LOGPARM tables.

For example:-

--------------------------------

PROCESS_INSTANCE COUNT(*) DTTM_STAMP_SEC

563803 17 2018/06/28 08:27

563804 17 2018/06/28 08:37

563805 17 2018/06/28 08:47

563806 17 2018/06/28 08:57

563807 17 2018/06/28 09:07

563808 17 2018/06/28 09:17

563809 17 2018/06/28 09:27

563810 17 2018/06/28 09:37

563811 17 2018/06/28 09:47

563812 17 2018/06/28 09:57

563813 17 2018/06/28 10:44

563814 80520 2018/06/28 10:51

563815 17 2018/06/28 10:50

As can be seen from the example that the above anonymous row entries in the PS_MESSAGE_LOG and PS_MESSAGE_LOGPARM tables are associated with orphaned process instance that has no reference in the PSPRCSRQST table.
