Goal

How to solve the sequence of errors encountered when booting the Application Server Domain on Solaris Operating System:

ERROR: shmget(creat) failure: errno = 28, key = 48373
BBL.10720.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:341: ERROR: Could not allocate bulletin board shared memory
BBL.10720.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:248: ERROR: System init function failed, Uunixerr = : shmget: Error 0
tmboot.10719.1.-2: CMDTUX_CAT:825: ERROR: Process BBL at <appdom> failed with /T tperrno (TPEOS - operating system error)
tmboot.10719.1.-2: tmboot: CMDTUX_CAT:827: ERROR: Fatal error encountered; initiating user error handler
tmboot.10719.1.-2: FATAL: CMDTUX_CAT:828: ERROR: Cannot create error process - fork() failed

 

This issue relates to Shared Memory resources. The IPC resources can become abandoned on Solaris Operating Systems.
