Symptoms
Unable to connect 2-tier or start application servers.
The following error occurs.
SQL Access ManagerSQL error. Stmt #: 2 Error Position: 0 Return: 404 - ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
In Application Server log file, the following is logged:
RC=404 Dur=1.429183 Create Connection Info=Primary/FS92UAT/ƒ‘žŒ>/ Handle=0000000000000000
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Try to Open Application Designer or DataMover; or
2. Try to start Application Server
3. Error is shown.
Changes
Connect ID / Access ID were accidentally updated/encrypted using binaries of PT 8.56.15.
