Symptoms
'Absence Event Mex' page has a delivered validation(In Record peoplecode : DERIVED_GPMX. DURATION_ABS. FieldFormula) to prevent absence entry when Employee has a job record with Action PRO(Promotion) or PAY(Pay Rate Change) during the absence duration. But this validation happens only for MaxEffSeq row in job data. So when an employee has a 'PRO' or 'PAY' in job data with seq 0 and another row(different from PRO or PAY) in the same effective date with a higher sequence, then absence entry is allowed.
