Symptoms

Performing a Global Search of the PTPORTALREGISTRY Search Index produces a "Search Exception: Failed to build document filter (262,2018)" error when "Document Level Security" is selected as the PTPORTALREGISTRY Search Definition's Security Option after implementing "Scenario A)" of MOS Knowledge Management document "E-ES: ES 232_xx: ES 612_xx: How to configure SSL in Search Framework implementations using Elasticsearch? (Doc ID 2217683.1)".

If the same search definition was set to 'No security ' the results were coming without any issue.
