Errors In ATO With The Update Event XML File Generated For Certain Employees (Doc ID 2541263.1)

Symptoms

Single Touch Payroll (STP) has some issues with update event :

1. ATO could not recognize the update event because the tuple
“IncomeTaxAndRemuneration” should not be appeared in the update file but it exists in the PeopleSoft generated Update Event file.


2. Some of the details should not be included in the update event file whereas PeopleSoft includes the following details which is not correct.

A. For an Update Event, basis of Payment code must not be provided
B. For an Update Event, employee residency status must not be provided.
C. For an Update Event Tax free Threeshold claimed indicator must not be provided.
D. FOr an update Event Study and Training loan re payment indicator must not be provided.
E. FOr an update Event Declaration date must not be provided.
F. FOr an update Employee declaration acceptance indicator must not be provided.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Initiate STP and generate the update event input file
2. Submit to ATO
3. Process results in error
