Guided Self Service Do Not Update Fields With Blank Values. (Doc ID 2543527.1)

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Job / Personal Information

When a user submits a request using 'Update Team Information' tile to update blank information for any field then after approving the request, new effective dated row gets inserted into the job, however the fields are not updated with the blank values.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Go to Set up HRMS > Common Definitions > Self Service > Workflow

Configurations and choose the below options for the HR_REPORTING_CHANGE process

Approval Process - Y

Allow DB Updates - Y

2. Login with submitter id

3. Click on Update Team Information Tile on MSS home page

4. Click on "Request Reporting Change" and then click on employee

5. Update Supervisor Name to blank value and click on Next.

6. Click on Submit button. Request should be submitted for approval.

7. Login with Approver 

8. Click on Approvals tile

9. Open a Reporting Change request for approval.

10. Click on Approve Button

11. Login with user to check job data information

Result: New effective dated row gets inserted into the job, however the "Supervisor ID" field in "Job Data" page is not updated with the blank values.
