When an existing speed chart is being used, where the project has subsequently been inactivated, in PUM25, the voucher can be saved and processed (and flows to project costing). In PUM30, an error message regarding Invalid GL BU for PC BU/Project combination is issued (which is a misleading error message).
a. Take an Active Project
b. Create Speed type
c. Then Inactivate the Project
d. Then create voucher with the speed chart
e. Receive an error and the voucher cannot be saved
The message shows as follows
Invalid GL Business Unit for Project Business Unit US001 and Project
Invalid General Ledger Business Unit for Project Business Unit and Project Id
This message seems that the Project ID is valid, but the GL BU is not valid.
Customer expect instead, the same type of error message you would receive for
an invalid chartfield. "Invalid Project ID"....or "Invalid Activity ID".
Specifying that it is an invalid GL Business Unit for that Project, makes it
seem that the Project ID is valid, but the GL BU is not valid.
