EEBI 9.2: Return To Home Page Link Is Missing In Several Of The eBill Payment Delivered Pages From Customer Portal (Doc ID 2555032.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eBill Payment - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ISSUE:

Throughout many of the pages delivered within the eBill Payment module, there is a link at the bottom of the pages which is called 'Return to Home Page'. This very same link though seems to be missing on the below pages:

     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > Invoices (Page BI_BILL_LIST_SS)
     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > Contact Us (Page SS_CONTACT_US)
     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > Profile (Page BI_CONTACT_SS_PHN)
     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > Customers (Page BI_LOGIN_SS)
     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > Administer Users (Page EB_CONTACT_SRCH_SS)
     - CUSTOMER Portal > eBill Payment > My Preferences (Page EB_USER_PREF_SS)

REPLICATION STEPS:

1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application CUSTOMER Portal as a Contact User
2.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > Invoices
3.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing
4.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > Contact Us
5.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing
6.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > Profile
7.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing
8.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > Customers
9.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing
10.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > Administer Users
11.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing
12.- Navigate to: eBill Payment > My Preferences
13.- Confirm that the 'Return to Home Page' link is missing

To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps Word Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.

ACTUAL RESULT:

While some pages do provide the link, other do not, which is seen as an inconsistency on the delivering of the functionality, and makes Users have to perform unnecessary additional clicks online.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

The eBill Payment is a customer facing Portal, and should provide a more user friendly interface, saving steps and clicks to allow more efficient usage of the application.

NOTE: In the  attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance).  Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
