Symptoms

Once the paysheets have been created, the FICA status will not change when the FICA Status has been updated with an effective date within the current pay period. Like tax data, the FICA status should be updated during the pay calculation. This causes incorrect tax calculations.

When you run PYLOAD for an off-cycle, it looks at the pay calendar table to determine the pay begin and end dates and then uses the JOB record based on those dates. The process is not robust enough to be able to use the JOB record based on the earnings and begin dates from a prior pay period. If using PYLOAD for this type of processing the user would still have to go in and manually change the FICA status themselves. If this is not created through the load it will process correctly as then the processing is not using the calendar dates to select the job record.

The hourly rate and the FICA status both being updated on JOB, paysheets have already been created.  During the pay calc, we see the hourly rate updated on the paysheets but not the FICA status.  Since the FICA status is an important factor for correct paycheck calculation, we expect the FICA status to be updated in the same manner the hourly rate is updated.
