Last updated on MARCH 09, 2020

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
GP - NI not calculating correctly for element segmentation

When an employee has had mid period element segmentation - where the default NI category M is being used, the NI DD EES value is only being calculated on one of the segmented values.
It appears that the system is trying to process the NI on default category A and M during the segmentation process

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Default category being used as GPGB_EE_NI blank;
2. Action a mid period job change;
3. Run payroll and check the results: No NI calculated.
Supporting elements shows 3 rows of NI VR CATEGORY, all 3 rows should be M to process the NI.
