Symptoms

On : PT 8.57.04, Tuxedo - 12.2.2.0.0, Weblogic 12.2.1.3.0 OS - MicroSoft 2012 R2, Report Distribution

When attempting to Post report, the following error occurs.

PSDSTSRV.824 (3) [20XX-XX-XXT00:00:00.000 PostReport] - - - (1) Java exception thrown: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > System Process Requests
2. Enter run control ID
3. Select AEMINTEST Type = Web and Format = TXT
4. Process run to success but not posted.

 

PeopleSoft Report Distribution is not working after applying a SHA2 certificate with strong ciphers(HIGH+TLSv1.2) for the PeopleSoft Web Logic Server. Please note that "javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure" is a very generic error.

Changes

 Upgrade to PeopleTools 8.57 from PeopleTools 8.55 and Java upgrade from 1.7.0 to 1.8.0
