Impact Of Manually Adding Event/Service ID "SavePostChange/EOCC_PAGEACTIVATE" or Deleting "SavePreChange/EOCC_SAVEPRECHANGE" From Map To Portal Registry in Page and Field Configurator (Doc ID 2565284.1)

Last updated on JULY 15, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Purchasing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. Page and Field Configurator (PFC) setup gives the opportunity to hide certain button from the application. When creating a contract for example, the button was hidden, as expected after applying the needed setup for Page and Field Configurator. However, when saving the new contract, the button became unhidden. How can this be solved?

2. Then, in trying the process of elimination, if trying variations of the three Events/Services, one found that if SavePostChange/EOCC_PAGEACTIVE and PostBuild/EOCC_POSTBUILD are kept, then the button will stay hidden in all scenarios tested, Update Contract mode, Update and Save existing Contract, Add Contract mode, Add and Save new Contract.

In other words if one disables/deletes Event/Service ID SavePreChange/EOCC_SAVEPRECHANGE, that the “Map to Portal Registry” “Apply Configuration” button creates automatically, everything still seems to work. So what is the actual impact of deleting it?
