Last updated on JULY 17, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.57 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You like to know when Oracle releases an updated PeopleTools patch, how often do we update Puppet, Hiera, Facter, Ruby, etc., ie: the software installed with the psft-dpk-setup.sh -prereq switch?
You like to know if you need to have my sysadmins run the -prereq setup every time you want to install a patch?
You are currently working with PeopleTools patch 8.57.07 on AIX, and you just got your sysadmins to run the -prereq install switch and you have proceeded with the DPK deployment.
Now Oracle we have released PeopleTools patch 8.57.08.
You like to know If you want to install 8.57.08, does the -prereq install need to be performed again, or can you get away with just doing the non-root install/configuration/deployment of the PT Patch?
