EAP: Prompt Fields On Form Builders Populating Improperly (Doc ID 2568221.1)

Symptoms


ISSUE:

We created a form in PeopleSoft 9.1 using Form Builder. The form contains multiple prompt fields. One prompt field is the User Id of the person logged into the system to add their user id to the form. Another prompt field is the name of the person logged into the system to add their name based on user id to the form. We have upgraded our test environment from 9.1 to 9.2 (PUM Image 30). Now, the prompt fields are behaving improperly. The initial display of the form is showing all of the fields blank. When the prompt field for user id is selected, the value is displayed in the User Id field and the same value is displayed in the Name prompt field. The value can be overwritten by selecting the correct prompt value using the magnifying glass. However, if the user tabs through the second prompt field, the wrong value is stored in the Name prompt field.

STEPS:

1.Navigate to: Enterprise Components > Forms > Design a Form
2.Define a new Form ID, and click on the ADD button
3.Complete Step 1 Basic Information, and click on NEXT button
4.Complete Step 2 Instructions, and click on NEXT button
5.Complete Step 3 Form Fields, and click on NEXT button
6.Complete Step 4 Attachment Templates, and click on NEXT button
7.Complete Step 5 Publish to Menu, and click on NEXT button
8.Complete Step 6 Approval Process, and click on OK button

Then navigate to the New Form in the portal page
