E-PORTAL: Remote Favorite Link Redirecting To Content Provider Url Context Instead Of Portal Context When Accessed From Portal (Doc ID 2569019.1)

Last updated on JULY 30, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.57 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Configure SSO between Portal and Content Provider. Access any page of Content Provider from Portal and save the remote page in Favorites. Till now the url will be under Portal context.

Now when the user clicks on the page which is stored in the Favorites, the page opens in content provider url context instead of opening from Portal context.

This behavior is observed in 8.57 tools. In older tools, the link from the Favorites opens in Portal context.

Replication Steps:
=============

Below are the sample replication steps from Portal and Finance.

  1. Login to Portal Interaction Hub and access any page of Finance.
  2. For example, below is the sample navigation:
Portal -> Finance  > Employee Self Service > Procurement > Manage Requisitions.
Till here the url will be like below (Finance being accessed from Portal context)
    http://Portal.us.oracle.com:8000/psp/Portal/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/PV_MAIN_MENU.PV_REQ_STATUS.GBL?FOLDER=EPAM_PROCUREMENT........
  3. Now from Actions menu in the header, click 'Add To Favorites' link and click OK.
  4. Now click on the link which was added in the Favorites. It redirects to below url. It is opening directly in Finance context instead of Portal context.

    http://Finance.us.oracle.com:8000/psp/Finance/EMPLOYEE/ERP/c/PV_MAIN_MENU.PV_REQ_STATUS.GBL?FOLDER=EPAM_PROCUREMENT.....

This should open in Portal context instead of opening in content provider context.
