E-PORTAL/E-PIA: Getting Error 'Could Not Open Registry' When Trying to Login Through Signon.Html (Doc ID 2573748.1)

On : 8.57 version, Portal Technology

Issue reported on FSCM 9.2 PUM 23, PT 8.57.05.

When attempting to login to Peoplesoft through url, the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
"Could not open registry: signon.html".

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to the url.
2. Click on the link to the target environment.
  url reads: https://<server:port>/psp/<site name>/signon.html
  
3. Login page opens up. Enter credentials and click Sign In.
4. Error is shown:
  "Could not open registry: signon.html".
