E-PORTAL/E-PIA: Application Server Crashed When Trying To Access Content Provider From Portal iHub (Doc ID 2573783.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.56 version, Portal Technology

After updating Peopletools from 8.56.04 to 8.56.17

When Trying To Access Content Provider From Portal iHub, Application Server Crashes. The following messages are logged in the PSAPPSRV log:

PSPAL.2476: Abort: Uncaught C++ Exception
PSPAL.2476: Abort: Location: E:\pt85617b-retail\peopletools\src\psappsrv\psappsrv.cpp:186: ICPanel
PSPAL.2476: Abort: Generating process state report to C:\Users\Administrator\psft\pt\8.56\appserv\HRPRD\LOGS\PSAPPSRV.2476\process_state.txt
 

process_state.txt points to PSAPPSRV!?SetTopRowAppend@IStateScroll / MSVCP140!?_Xout_of_range

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Sign on to PeopleSoft Interaction Hub (9.1 PUM Image 8) using employee user id.
2. Click on Email Address content reference
3. Click on Delete button to delete Home Email address
4.The processing sign appears on right upper corner and screen blanks out and results in PSAPPSRV process crashing.
