Last updated on SEPTEMBER 07, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Core - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The current document refers to those situations where there is a retro triggers conflict for an employee in a payroll run.

If an employee has a job data change which causes a corrective retro, and if there is absence data entry which causes a forwarding retro, then multiple retro events with contradictory Retro Process Definitions cannot be processed for an employee at the same time.

If a trigger is created and there is no pay detail/segment, this error condition will display.  This will also happen if job data is deleted or corrected; there is no historical data on which to process retroactive events.

Either one of the retro event has to be cancelled before proceeding with the payroll.

Otherwise, the payroll process (GPPDPRUN) will fail with the following error:

Steps to replicate the issue:

1. Global Payroll and Absence Management>Absence and Payroll Processing>Calculate Absence and Payroll

2. Enter run control information and attempt to run

3. The above error is triggered
