Financial Aid FLUID Self Service Accept/Decline Error Code 9126 Linked to Unsub Loan Item Type (Doc ID 2579525.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to accept one or more item types in Financial Aid Self FLUID Service, when the student posts the transaction, it is not processed and the student ends up in a 'needs review' status. A review of Self Service activity shows the error happened with an Unsubsidized Loan item type, and the associated error code is 9126 - award that is coded with PJ, need override, or lock, cannot have a zero value. The specific explanation can be confusing as the problem can be seen to occur with item types that are not coded with any of those options, nor are they indicated in the fa item type setup.

Changes

 FA Fluid handles some situations differently from Classic Self Service. The same situation in classic may prevent the student from being able to submit at all, whereas FLUID allows the submit but puts them in 'Needs Review', preventing any further actions.
