E-AWE/EC/FLUID: Application Crashes To The Login Page When User Invokes Any Self-Service Transactions Requiring AWE

Symptoms
Unable to run any delivered AWE transactions after updating Tools from 8.57.04 to 8.57.06. When any application functionality requiring AWE is invoked, one is able to progress through Self-Service and press the submit button, then after a long delay of about 45 seconds, the application crashes to the login page with the following error message:
“Your peoplesoft connection has expired”
Traces, PSAPPSRV dump and AIX core dump are produced.
Environment:
PeopleTools: 8.57.06
HCM 9.2 PUM029 all patches
Database: Oracle 12.1.0.2 running on AIX 7.1 and patched to April 2019 PSU
