E-ES: "Assignment of "nnnn" to HRS_SRCHIDX_SDP.DAYS failed. (2,119)" error issued if a value greater than 999 is entered into the "Index Only Last [9999] Days" field of a Search Definition (Doc ID 2585783.1)

Symptoms

PeopleTools: 8.57
Elasticsearch: 6.1.2

If a value greater than 999 is entered into the "Index Only Last [9999] Days" field on the Advanced page/tab of the Search Definition component, the following error occurs:



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into PeopleSoft

2. Click the Navigator icon and navigate to Navigator > PeopleTools > Search Framework > Designer > Search Definition

3. Select a Search Definition and click the "Search" push button

4. Click the "Advanced" tab

5. Enter a value of 1000 or greater in the "Index Only Last [9999] Days" field and click the "Save" push button

6. Click the Navigator icon and navigate to Navigator > PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy/Delete Object

7. Click/check the checkbox preceding the Search Definition to select it, and click the "Deploy" push button

8. After the Search Definition has been deployed, click the Navigator icon and navigate to Navigator > PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Schedule Search Index

9. Select "Search Definition" in the "Search by:" dropdown and click the "Search" push button

10. Click the Search Definition name of the "Full Build" Run Control ID (example: HC_HRS_APPLICANT_FULL)

11. Click the "Run" push button on the Build Search Index Run Control page

12. Click the "OK" push button on the Process Scheduler Request modal popup window

13. Click the "Process Monitor" link on the Build Search Index Run Control page

14. After the PTSF_GENFEED process completes (should complete with Run Status of "No Success"), click the associated "Details" link

15. Click the "View Log/Trace" link on the Process Detail modal popup window

16. Click the "AE_PTSF_GENFEED_{pid}.stdout" link on the View Log/Trace modal popup window

17. The "AE_PTSF_GENFEED_{pid}.stdout" log file will open in a new browser tab/window, and will contain an error similar to the following:

          "Assignment of "[9999]" to HRS_SRCHIDX_SDP.DAYS failed. (2,119) HRS_SF_PPROC.[index].GBL.default.1900-01-01.Step01.OnExecute  PCPC:1616  Statement:23"
