CODIN Error in FAPCODIN COBOL step: 153 'Subscript out of range' in FAPLOFC0.cbl (Doc ID 2588060.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run CODIN, the following error occurs in the FAPCODIN step as displayed in the cobol log file:

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Import COD Response Data > Common Origination and Disbursement Inbound, and run the process.
  2. Click Process Monitor and refresh until the process completes, likely in 'Error' Status.
  3. Click the 'CODIN' hyperlink to access the individual programs in the 2-part process.
  4. Click the link for the FAPCODIN step.
  5. Click the link that says 'View Log/Trace'.
  6. Click into the .log file in the File List to review the information, including the full error message.
