E-AD: Unable To Build Materialized View Using Fast Refresh Option With DateTime Field (Doc ID 2589444.1)

Symptoms

Materialized View which includes Datetime field is not getting build using Fast Refresh method. The same view gets build successfully using Complete Refresh method.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new materialized view in application designer. Add any fields. Add a field which contains Datetime (i.e. LASTUPDDTTM)
2. Select the Fast Refresh Method.
3. Build the View.

 

Below is the error which gets updated in the log file.

Error: Cannot create Materialized View on record TEST_RECORD.
