Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2019

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

PO_AUTO_SRC is creating wrong data in IN_DEMAND record, when Requisition has Multi Distribution lines with fractional quantity.

A Requisition has multiple distribution lines for a single ship line and the distribution is fractional. Example, Req is for qty of 1 and it is split 50/50 on the distribution.
PO_AUTO_SRC generates two demand lines for a qty of 1 for each of the Req distribution lines. Two units are reserved, released, then picked, and shipped when the Requisition was for one.

Steps:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create 3 Requisitions with Source to Inventory flag checked. Line quantity 1:
  Requisition 1: 1 Distribution line, quantity 1
Requisition 2: 2 Distributions lines, quantity 0.5 for both lines
Requisition 3: 2 Distributions lines, quantity 0.5 for both lines
2. Run PO_AUTO_SRC. Select Individual process (REQINVS)
3. Query: SELECT * FROM PS_IN_DEMAND WHERE REQ_ID IN ('XXXXXXXXX1','XXXXXXXXX1','XXXXXXXXX1')
Note that returning 5 lines, one for each requisitions distributions lines
4. Go to Navigation: Inventory > Fulfill Stock Orders > Review Fulfilment Information > Stock Requests.
Select the PO requisitions and check the quantities for each orders.
5. Requisition 1. Schedule 1001. Quantity = 1
  Requisition 2. Schedule 1001. Quantity = 1 (SHOULD BE 0.5)
  Requisition 2. Schedule 1002. Quantity = 1 (SHOULD BE 0.5)
  Requisition 3. Schedule 1001. Quantity = 1 (SHOULD BE 0.5)
  Requisition 3. Schedule 1002. Quantity = 1 (SHOULD BE 0.5)

Multiple demand lines; therefore doubling the qty that was on the Requisition.
