EAR: Collections Workbench Throws Error Message (2,213) AR_CWB_WRK.FUNCLIB.FieldFormula Name:SelectActionList When Searching For Corporate Customer With Large Number Of Childs, As Generated SQL Is Too Long To Process (Doc ID 2591110.1)

A problem has been detected at the Collections Workbench functionality (Page COLLECTION_WRKBNCH), with the system throws off an SQL Error Message if the User performs a search for a Customer ID marked as the Corporate Customer for more than 5,000 Child Customers.

Somehow, the delivered codeline is executing an SQL Select Statement that seems to be too long for the system to properly execute, and as such, throws the Error Message. Delivered Record PS_CUST_HVIEW_VW is the one used behind the scene to pull the hierarchy on the Corporate Customer defined.

As a result of this problem, the Collections Workbench functionality cannot be used for such Corporate Customers, and as such, the Users are unable to perform their reviews, and daily tasks. The delivered functionality should have a more efficient SQL Select Statement around Record View PS_CUST_HVIEW_VW, and allow Collections Workbench to pull the requested transaction data for further review.


    1.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as a Receivables User
    2.- Navigate to: Customers > Customer Information > General Information
    3.- Open an existing Customer ID, and at the General Info tab, select the 'Corporate Customer' flag
    4.- Save the changes
    5.- Now open a second existing Customer ID, and at the General Info tab, make sure the 'Corporate Customer' flag in NOT selected, and instead, select the Customer Set ID and Customer ID values from point #3
    6.- Save the changes
    7.- Repeat steps #5 through #6 roughly 5000 times
    8.- Navigate to: Accounts Receivable > Collections Workbench
    9.- Populate the Customer Set ID, Customer ID as the Corporate Customer, and click on SEARCH button
    10.- The system throws an Error Message
