Last updated on APRIL 15, 2022
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll UK - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The following error message is triggered when trying to change the National Insurance Category for an employee who is above 65 years but not reached to the State pension age yet.
This is no longer true since the state retirement age for men and women is changed up to age 68 dependent on birth date.
The issue reported in PUM Image 40 has two parts:
- Explanation text is no more relevant as Pension age is now independent of gender.
Hence, this needs to be modified.
- Remove the hardcode to compare age against 65 (Male) or 60 (Female) with Pension age deduced from the bracket (GBR BR PNSN AGE F), based on the date of birth.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Navigate to Global Payroll l & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Social Security/Insurance > Maintain NI Data GBR > Maintain NI Data GBR
2. Try to change the NI Category Code. Notice that the above error is triggered.
