Supplier Item ID and Supplier's Catalog Not Refreshed When Changing Item ID on Requisition Page (Doc ID 2605839.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2021

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Changing Item on Requisition, Supplier Item ID and Supplier's Catalog Info Doesn't Refresh.

When a user attempts to change an item ID on an existing line on the requisition, all other data on the line updates upon refresh except for Supplier Item ID and Supplier's Catalog information. This is resulting in incorrect data being populated on Purchase Orders and therefore, bad data sent to Suppliers.

The issue started after applying Bug Fix 28994844.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Setup:
Item 10041 has defined Supplier’s Catalog and Supplier Item id (navigation: Items > Define Item > Purchasing Attributes)
Item 10053 has NOT defined Supplier’s Catalog and Supplier Item id (navigation: Items > Define Item > Purchasing Attributes).

Steps:
1. Create new requisition for item 10041.  Supplier Item id and Supplier's Catalog loaded.
2. Save the Requisition
3. Replace item id to ‘10053’. Item changed but Supplier Item id and Supplier’s Catalog not refreshed.
