E-UPG: When Peforming A PeopleTools only Upgrade, the Step "Updating PeopleTools Patch Information" Failed with the Following in the Log "ptpatch.dms - Unsuccessful:File Not Found" (Doc ID 2607382.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.57 version, Install and Packaging

While running Change Assistant (CA) for Tools only Upgrade 8.56.08 to 8.57.10, the Change Assistant step "Updating PeopleTools Patch Information" failed with the following issue:

Searching for file of bin\client\winx86\psdmtx.exe in D:\PSTOOLS\PT85710\ - File Found.

Searching for file of scripts\ptpatch.dms in D:\PTUPG857\PSCSDMO2\staging\softwareupdatePTU857{-PSCSDMO2}IP20191030162942\ - File Not Found.

Searching for file of scripts\ptpatch.dms in D:\PSTOOLS\PT85710\ - File Not Found.

Searching for file of scripts\ptpatch.dms in D:\PSTOOLS\PT85710\ - File Not Found.

Searching for file of scripts\ptpatch.dms in D:\PSTOOLS\PT85710\ - File Not Found.

Searching for file of ptpatch.dms - Unsuccessful:File Not Found.


Change Assistant Failure: Unable to find script file.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Copy the 8.57.10 PS_HOME from another location
2. Install Change Assistant 8.57.08 and configure it to perform the upgrade
3. Run the step "Updating PeopleTools Patch Information" in Change Assistant
