Symptoms

When trying to check the PeopleSoft Application Server Target status using the PeopleSoft Enterprise Manager Monitoring Plug-in (PSEM) in the Enterprise Manager (EM). The status of the PeopleSoft Application Server Target is being shown and displayed incorrectly as "DOWN" on random basis.

Upon reviewing and examining the psemmetrics.log and psemmetrics.trc files. Noticing the following error exceptions in the psemmetrics.log and psemmetrics.trc file.
