Symptoms

On : 8.55 version, Change Assistant

When attempting to install PeopleSoft native OS dpk for FSCM update image 33 on windows 2012 server.

the following error occurs.

2019-10-22 05:26:53 -0400 Puppet (err): Could not change the DB Access - SYSADM Password. DMS has Failed

2019-10-22 05:26:53 -0400 /Stage[main]/Pt_profile::Pt_password/Pt_password[peoplesoft]/returns (err): change from 'absent' to ['0'] failed: Could not change the DB Access - SYSADM Password. DMS has Failed

2019-10-22 03:44:48 -0400 Puppet (debug): Visual Studio DLL(64-bit) installation failed

2019-10-22T05:27:02Eastern Daylight Time psft_environment.py DEBUG : Puppet apply of [pt_profile::pt_password] failed

 

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Setup PeopleSoft native OS dpk for FSCM update image 33 on windows 2012 server

2. It will fail at step "Changing the Passwords for the Environment "
