ACCOUNTING_DT In SF_ACCTG_LN Is Different From ITEM_LINE_SF.POSTED_DATE (Doc ID 2616685.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 08, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Different ACCOUNTING_DT values are being created in the SF_ACCTG_LN table for different item types. SF_ACCTG_LN data is created from the Generate Accounting Entries process (SFPGLINT COBOL), based on transactions posted to student or organization accounts. Two different item types are posted to accounts. The SF_ACCTG_LN.ACCOUNTING_DT value is not the same as the ITEM_LINE_SF.POSTED_DATE in all situations.

The accounting lines created for one item type have ACCOUNTING_DT = POSTED_DATE. A different item type has an ACCOUNTING_DT = a date that is not the ITEM_EFFECTIVE_DT or POSTED_DATE on the transaction.
