When attempting to create a new PeopleSoft Database on Microsoft SQL Server manually using a response file and the Database Wizard, the following error occurs in the Database Wizard.
"Required DB file is missing from data folder. Installer is exiting"
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Install the Middle Tier software, PS_HOME, and PS_APP_HOME using the desired PUM Image (psft-dpk-setup. --env_type midtier --deploy_only --deploy_type all)
- Configure the database wizard response file for Microsoft SQL Server setup with the PS_HOME location set for the PS_APP_HOME scalar parameter (or any file location other than the actual PS_APP_HOME location).
- Error occurs when running the manual database setup.
