Symptoms

On Campus Solutions 9.2 an error is returned when attempting to post a Group to Pay tuition charges.

ERROR
Group 000000000014938 failed the same Item Type test. (14816,606)

One of the current requirements of a group is that all items (group lines) must belong to the same item_type_code (Category). The process checks the category of the first item in the group, and requires that all other items in the group have the same category code. For example, if the first item in the group is a charge, then all items in the group must be charges.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. create a new Group
  2. Post the Group
