Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When making Health Savings Account (HSA) elections in Fluid Benefits, cross-plan validation is not immediately routing the user from the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) medical election to the Health Savings Account (HSA) plan election area.  The immediate routing functionality is available in Classic (non-Fluid) employee self-service benefits enrollment.

STEPS
-----------------------

1. Configure a plan type ID 10 Medical High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
2. Configure plan type ID 67 Health Savings Account (HSA) plan with a Medical plan type ID High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)  cross-plan validation requirement.
3. Test in Fluid using an Employee Self Service (ESS) event that includes the option for both Medical and HSA elections.
a. Prepare the event’s options for the employee.
b. Have the test employee log in to their ESS account.
c. Have the employee click on the Medical Plan card and elect the HDHP medical plan coverage.
d. To finish the HDHP medical election, have the employee click on the Done pushbutton in the top right area of the same window.
e. The employee is then routed to the Benefits Details > Benefits Enrollment page.  On that page, the employee can choose the HSA card.
