Employee Name is Displayed in Search Results When Searching for EmplID in Group Definition (Doc ID 2628941.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Group Build definition, when searching for EmplID for example, using a keyword = "K", the value returns all employees names with "K" and displays the name instead of the EmplID.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

   1. Go to Setup HCM>Common Definitions>Group Build>Group Build - Group Definition

   2. Add a new value / Create new group

   3. Add new record = JOB; Field Name=EmplID;

   4. Go to the values section: If you enter a value of "K" in the value section, then employee name is displayed which is incorrect. The EMPLID should only display.
