E-Portal: Homepages Intermittently Fail to Load When Using a Large Number of Permission Lists (Doc ID 2631962.1)

PeopleTools 8.56

When a user logs into the portal, the homepage intermittently fails to load for content providers such as HR,  Finance or Campus Solutions. The user will eventually see the home page if they click the fluid homepage link.

Users confirm the homepage is absent in the morning after a daily cache is cleared. It eventually appears but sometimes is not displayed in the afternoon. Users who have a large number of permission lists seem to experience this behavior more often.

The trace appears as if almost all of the User's Permission Lists are checked upon each request.
