E-AD: Application Designer Crash in Windows when Running in Administrator Mode in 8.57 (Doc ID 2635628.1)

On Windows 10, Application designer crashes when user go to grid properties on a grid, then go to label-tab and click on properties for the body area

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Login to Application designer in Administrator mode
  2. Open any page and navigate to grid properties. Go to label tab.
  3. Click on properties for the body area. Application designer will crash

Below mentioned steps performed prior applying the solution however issue still persists:

  1. Login to Application designer in Administrator mode
  2. UAC is set to not notify as recommended in Doc ID 2361359.1
  3. Install and uninstall the workstation as well
  4. Also did a regsvr32 ImgDisplay.ocx as recommended in Doc ID 1085081.1
  5. Also installed vcredist_x64.exe
  6. User do not have McAfee or other Antivirus running
  7. Not running pside.exe from a shared drive. Locally copied all files
  8. Open the Registry, and Add a new DWORD registry value to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PeopleSoft\PeopleTools\Release8.40\PSIDE calling it 'ProjLegacyUpgrade' and set it's value to 1
  9. Ensured that in environment variable PS_SERVER_CFG is NOT set
  10. Applied the solution mentioned in Doc ID 2389781.1
