GPCH: UVG-LAA:special Base Contribution For Trainees Does Not Work Any More After Upg PUM24 To 29 (Doc ID 2635662.1)

Last updated on MARCH 09, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Switzerland - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Switzerland trainees do work in companies in order to complete the knowledge of their studies. This is often by working the same time as a normal employee but with a very reduced salary. However the accident insurance guarantees a higher amount which is fixed by the law. Special rules in the UVG-LAA calculation handled this request under condition that the trainee is a mono contract employee.
With the installation of the new PUM29 we passed to a new UVG-LAA handling which no more verifies the employees contract type but the general contract type of the company. So we always have multi contract situation for all employees and now have lost the special calculations for trainees.
Payroll must be adapted to re-activate the special UVG-LAA calculations also in a multi contract environment.
