Symptoms

Application Server not booting, attempted the following:

1. Execute the following:

UPDATE PSOPRDEFN SET OPERPSWD = ' ', PTOPERPSWDV2='new password', ENCRYPTED=0, ACCTLOCK = 0 WHERE OPRID='PS';
ENCRYPT_PASSWORD PS;

2. Further assessment:

Note that you will discover that logging into application with OPRID and new password will still not work. Please note the App Server Log files were virtually empty with the exception of the following:

PSADMIN.18231 (0) [2020-01-31T12:32:51.896] - - - (0) Begin boot attempt on domain SNDPS1
PSADMIN.18231 (0) [2020-01-31T12:35:08.991] - - - (0) End boot attempt on domain SNDPS1

3. Error Messages:

The Tuxedo Log files* however contain a variety of error messages including the following:
