Accessibility: Candidate Gateway: Including Additional Context For Checkboxes and Buttons on Each Row in the Context of Multiple Applications or Jobs (Doc ID 2641199.1)

Last updated on JULY 21, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Candidate Gateway - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There are a number of ways to improve usability for a non-sighted user in Candidate Gateway and that is by including additional context for checkboxes and buttons on each row in the context of multiple applications or jobs.

Examples
1) Checkboxes on My Favorite Jobs
2) Withdraw button on My Job Applications
3) Search button on My saved searches
4) Edit button on My saved searches
5) View Job on My Favorite Jobs
6) Open Application on My Job Applications

In general we have taken the stance that buttons and checkboxes in tables will have the appropriate context when combined with row headers, column headers, and row numbers announced by the assistive technology.
