E-ES: How to Resolve an Out-of-Sync Condition Between PeopleSoft and Elasticsearch 6.1.2 for a Single Search Index or for All Search Indexes (Doc ID 2641587.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.56 to 8.57 [Release 8.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Data about deployed and built search indexes is stored in both PeopleSoft and Elasticsearch. When this data becomes "out-of-sync", meaning there is a discrepancy between PeopleSoft and Elasticsearch in the data for one or more indexes, the index(es) cannot be deployed, undeployed and/or built.

When this "out-of-sync" condition occurs, the data for the index(es) must be cleared from both PeopleSoft and Elasticsearch.

This document provides steps to resolve this "out-of-sync" condition in Elasticsearch 6.1.2 for 1) a single search index or for 2) all search indexes.
