E-INST: When Executing for PeopleTools Product Patch on Oracle Solaris 11, the Installer Stalls and Does Not Launch Successfully after "Launching Installer..." (Doc ID 2645741.1)

While executing the script that's delivered in the PeopleTools PRODUCT PATCH on Oracle Solaris 11, the installer does not launch successfully. It stalls with the following message:


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Download the zip files for PeopleTools PRODUCT PATCH for Solaris

2. Perform the install according to the PeopleTools patch set readme file on a Solaris 11 server

3. Run the install script: ./ -tempdir /tmp -LAX_VM <JAVA_PATH>/bin/java
