Smart HR Template - Business Unit Change Clears Default Jobcode in Test Template (Doc ID 2646287.1)

Last updated on MARCH 11, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using Smart HR Templates, if a user changes the Business Unit, the default value for the Job Code is getting cleared out.

The Job Code has been configured with a default value which should remain regardless of the Business Unit entered since the same Set ID is used for all Business Units.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Workforce Administration > Smart HR Template > Template Creation
2. Set up Template with a Default Value for the Business Unit field with the 'Override' option enabled on the Work Location - Job Fields section, and the a Default Value for the Job Code field with the Override field disabled on the Job Information - Job Code section.
3. Test the template, and note when the Business Unit is updated, the Job Code is cleared out instead of maintaining the configured default value.
