EEX 9.2: EX_TRAN_PRCS AE Program, and Its Sub-Processes, Are Not Properly Updating PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM for Processed Expense Reports (Doc ID 2648250.1)

Symptoms

It has been detected that the Field LASTUPDDTTM (Last Update Date/Time) from Record PS_EX_SHEET_HDR is not being properly being updated each time the Expense Processing program (EX_TRAN_PRCS) is being run, and updates the Expense Report Header table.

  - Post Liabilities changes PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.POST_STATUS_EX to 'P', but Field LASTUPDDTTM remains unchanged
  - Stage Payments, and Unstage Payments both change PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.SHEET_STATUS value, but Field LASTUPDDTTM remains unchanged
  - Post Payments, and Update Paid Statuses both change PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.SHEET_STATUS value to 'PD', but Field LASTUPDDTTM remains unchanged

REPLICATION STEPS:

     1.- Employee creates ER and saves (Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is updated)
     2.- Employee submits ER (Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is updated)
     3.- HR Supervisor approves (Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is updated)
     4.- Run Post Liabilities (ISSUE: Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is no longer being updated)
     5.- Run Stage Payments (ISSUE: Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is no longer being updated)
     6.- Run Payment Selection
     7.- Run Payment Creation
     8.- Run Print Checks
     9.- Run Update Paid Statuses (ISSUE: Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is no longer being updated)
     10.- Run Post Payments (ISSUE: Record Field PS_EX_SHEET_HDR.LASTUPDDTTM is no longer being updated)

The delivered PeopleTools Field LASTUPDDTTM (Last Update Date/Time) is used on by Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) functionality to check what are the eligible Expenses transactions to be picked up for reporting. Not having this Field populated invalidates the logic built in the delivered queries by Oracle. Not updating this Field each time the system updates its row in PS_EX_SHEET_HDR brings an out of sync problem, and causes system inconsistencies when comparing other Records' data.

The Field LASTUPDDTTM should be updated each and every single time a User, or a Batch Program, performs an update against the rows stored within PS_EX_SHEET_HDR Table, on all occasions. This is the Field that is used for audit/reporting purposes, to keep track on when such Expense Report Header transaction has been last updated in the system.
